Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG | Winery Benazzoli | Lake Garda
Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG
Vintage: 2016
Typology: Red
Grape varieties: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara
Alcohol: 16%.
Serving Temperature: 18-20°C
Time to taste: On the sofa, in the company of a good book.
Pairings: Our Amarone is a full-bodied wine that can effortlessly support very elaborate and juicy dishes, such as a stracotto, a braised stew or a board of long aged cheeses. It is satisfying when paired with a bar of dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes: Our Amarone wears a velvety deep garnet red color. It envelops the nose with persuasive sensations of jammy cherries, caramelized blackberries, and a pot-pourri of red rose petals and dried violets. Balsamic recollections of resin, moss and spice of clove, cinnamon and star anise complete the bouquet. The palate is warm and powerful at first impact, but immediately the alcoholic sensation is balanced by a juicy freshness and a nice savoriness that, flanked by a tannin
well present, give the sip vigor and energy. Exquisite flavors of small red and dark fruits under spirits cheer the long finish.
