2019 Pinot Gris Klostergarten dry - Wine from the Palatinate
.This Palatinate Pinot Gris is a first-class dry white wine with ageing potential from the Rummel winery in Hochstadt. On the nose, this elegant Pinot Gris reveals a very animating and intense fragrance. Its slightly spicy aroma is accompanied by a fine acidity and a finesse-rich body.
Aromas of pear and almond emerge. The elegant overall impression of this refined Pinot Gris is refined by a herbaceous finish.
We recommend this Palatinate white wine as a soloist or also with beef or pork.
Young winemaker Patric Rummel has been responsible for the approximately 14 hectares of family-owned vineyards in Hochstadt and the surrounding area since 2016. Under his direction, the vineyards are tended, the grapes are processed and the wines are vinified. With his great commitment and his love of wine, Patric Rummel has managed to raise the quality of his wines and their expression to a first-class level within a short period of time. He pursues clear ideas in the vinification of contemporary wines. And he does this with great enthusiasm, as we were able to experience for ourselves during our visit to the winery and the tasting of his wine collection on site.
