The Chardonnay Kleinstein from the Election range of the Cantina Bolzano in South Tyrol is a wonderfully exotic fresh and elegant Chardonnay.

This South Tyrolean Chardonnay embodies the best possible interplay between grape variety, soil characteristics and microclimate. Special grapes from sites selected by the cellar master produce expressive, varietally typical and complex wines. The Chardonnay Kleinstein presents itself with rich, concentrated fruit, a pleasant fullness and well-integrated acidity.

Growing area/Climate
The grapes for this elegant and fresh Chardonnay come from vineyards on the Ritten above Bolzano, where the vines thrive at 550 metres above sea level on warm porphyry slopes.

Harvest
Middle to end of September

Processing
After particularly gentle pressing of the grapes, fermentation and ageing on fine yeast in steel tanks. Part of the wine undergoes alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation in barriques.

Colour:sparkling straw yellow with golden yellow reflections.
Smell: exotic notes such as pineapple, mango and honeydew melon, light passion fruit tone as well as notes of banana and vanilla.
Taste: elegant and fresh, with well-integrated acidity and a nice mineral note.
